2020 DAN YA BAI CHA (white Pu erh)
China - Feng Shan Town, Jing Gu county, Yunnan province
An exquisite raw, top quality WHITE PU ERH TEA cake from the Jing Gu area in Yunnan.
This area has superb tea growing conditions, rich fertile soils, a sub-tropical climate, and plenty of light and water to produce a subtle, smooth, rich tasting tea.
The buds are handpicked from tea bushes of the Da Ye Zhong (big leaf) varital on an ecological environment plantation, free from pesticides and fertilisers, After picking, the tea is sun dried or air dried with hot air (no pan frying and rolling) and then steamed and pressed in moulds in the traditional way. Because the cake only consists of buds the appearance is gorgeous and the aftertaste is lighter than compared to tea made of full grown leaves.
White tea has the highest level of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is recognised by many medical institutions for its anti-cancer health benefits. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to cool body heat and flush out toxins.
The resulting Pu erh tea is fresh and smooth with a sweet aftertaste and a lingering charm.
This is a most highly prized, sought after, difficult to purchase, very pure and rare Pu erh of limited availability.
