2021 MENG SONG BAI CHA (white Pu erh)
China - San Mai village, Meng Song county, Yunnan province
We are delighted to offer you one of China's most loved teas. It is a most exquiste, unique, traditional MENG SONG WHITE Pu erh tea, equivalent in quality to white teas grown in the Fujian province. It is a great introduction to white tea because it is not bitter or astringent like some green or Pu erh teas.
Whole wild leaves are picked from ancient, old trees, in a eco-friendly forest at altitudes of 800 metres at SAN MAI village in MENG SONG county. This white Pu erh tea was prepared by Mr SHA YU (“Superior” Mr. Sha in English) who has a long experience in preparing white tea. His family owns a small Pu erh tree forest which they care for over three generations.
White tea has the highest level of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is recognised by many medical institutions for its anti-cancer health benefits. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to cool body heat and flush out toxins.
The resulting tea has a pure flavour, a soft, creamy taste and a mesmerising fragrance.
