2009 QUAN JIA FU - (ripe)
China - Bang Wai mountain, Lancang county, Yunnan province
From Bang Wai mountain in Lancang county, this charming, ripe Pu erh tea cake has a mellow, sweet taste with a hint of flowers and tropical fruits.
Grown at altitude, with abundant sunshine and a mild climate the ancient trees produce a tea of exceptional quality. After picking, the leaves are sun-dried, withered, fermented and then pressed into cake form. Gu Shu, literally means ‘old tree’, and the whole leaves are hand-picked from a very ancient, pesticide free tea forest on Bang Wai mountain.
The resulting tea has a good body, a rich, fragrant and floral aroma with a mellow taste and hints of flowers.
