2015 PU ERH YANG TAO - (ripe)
China - BuLang Shan mountain, Xishuangbanna county, Yunnan province
* Temporarily out of stock.
From BULANG SHAN mountain, this is a most mellow, unique traditional Yunnan Pu erh tea.
The ancient arbour trees (GU SHU) grow in pesticide free forest near the village of Ban Pen, a most remote village close to the Laos border, where the mild climate, sunshine and foggy days produce a tea of outstanding quality.
The whole large leaves are harvested from ancient, 100 years old trees in 2015 and stored under ideal conditions for two years to further mature. This is a superb, mellow, smooth, aged puerh cake which was stone mould pressed in 2017.
The resulting tea has a pure flavour and a soft, creamy taste with a mesmerising fragrance and may be laid down for these flavours to develope even further.
This is a most highly prized, sought after, difficult to purchase, very pure and rare Pu erh of limited availability.
