From Bang Wai mountain in Lancang county, this charming, ripe Pu erh cake has a mellow, sweet taste with a hint of flowers and tropical fruits. The whole leaves are hand-picked from a very ancient, eco friendly tea forest on Bang Wai mountain. The older the tree the deeper are the roots which absorb water and trace minerals which nourish the growth of the tree.
Grown at high altitudes, with abundant sunshine and a mild climate the ancient trees produce a tea of exceptional quality. After picking, the leaves are sun-dried, withered, fermented, pressed into a cake form the traditional way with stone moulds and packed at the Chang Yun Tea Factory Puerh City.
The resulting tea has a good body, a rich, fragrant and floral aroma with a mellow taste and hints of flowers.
